LACEY, NJ — A car became fully engulfed in a vehicle fire Friday afternoon on the Garden State Parkway in Lacey, officials said. The Nissan Altima driver got out, and nobody was injured, according to State Trooper Alejandro Goez.

The Ocean County Sheriff's Office said at 2:58 p.m. to expect delays and use caution. The fire took place southbound on milepost 71.1, which is about a mile north of the County Route 532 exit.

The left lane was still closed to clear the vehicle at about 3:30 p.m., Goez said. But officials said it should be cleared shortly.
