Lacey Driver Faces Marijuana Possession Charge

Lacey Driver Faces Marijuana Possession Charge
A 21-year-old Lacey man was arrested for marijuana possession after being pulled over by township police.

The Jan. 12 traffic stop at Route 9 and Haines St. led to marijuana possession charges after police detected an odor of marijuana coming from inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle being driven by Jesse L. Ehrnstrom of Buttonwood Drive, police said.

Officer Evan Androcy also observed small pieces of what he believed to be marijuana on the driver’s sweatshirt and on the interior of the vehicle, police said. An investigation at the scene led to the discovery of a clear plastic bag containing marijuana and two glass smoking pipes, according to police.

Ehrnstrom, who was later released pending a court date, was arrested and transported to Lacey Township Police headquarters where he was processed and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ehrnstrom was also issued a traffic summonses for driving an unregistered vehicle and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, according to police.
