Second Burglary Hits Lanoka Harbor This Week
A second burglary has hit Lanoka Harbor this week.

On Thursday or Friday, an unknown person or persons forced their way into a vacant residence on Bay Way, Lanoka Harbor. The home was vacant and being renovated.

Various types of tools and equipment were stolen from the residence. Forced entry was made through a garage window to gain entry into the vacant home.

The estimated value of the tools stolen is unknown at this time. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Lacey Township Police Department at 609.693.6636 or utilize the anonymous “crime tips” section of the police department website at  www.laceypd.org/crime-tips.

Police also are looking for burglars who stole jewelry, iPods and other items Wednesday in Lanoka Harbor.

At 9:16 p.m., Officer Adam Ewart responded to a residence on the 900 Block of Clairmore Avenue in Lanoka Harbor for a report of a residential burglary and theft.

The reporting person indicated that between 6:15 and 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, an unknown person or persons entered the home and stole various items while the owner was not home, police said.

Items reported to be stolen from the home include: numerous pieces of jewelry; $50.00 in cash; and two iPods. The total value of items stolen exceeded $500. 

There were no signs of forced entry, as entry may have been made through an unlocked window. Evidence was collected at the scene which may assist in the investigation.

Surtees responded to the scene and is handling the follow-up investigation.
