Woman's Car Hits Pole, Catches Fire In Lacey: Report
The driver was taken to the hospital with a serious head injury, police told the Asbury Park Press.

A woman's car slammed into a utility pole and burst into flames on Wednesday night in Lacey, police told the Asbury Park Press. The woman, who was not identified, was driving on Route 9 with a passenger when she struck the utility pole and hit her head on the windshield, police told the Asbury Park Press.
Live wires caused the car to erupt into flames, Chief Michael DiBella told the Asbury Park Press. The woman was airlifted to the hospital with a serious head injury, but the passenger was unhurt, police told the Asbury Park Press.
The crash also caused a quick power outage in the area, DiBella told the Asbury Park Press.
