Identities Of Man, Woman Found Dead In Lakewood Home Released

LAKEWOOD, NJ — Two people who were found dead in a residence on Central Avenue on Thursday after a wellness check have been identified by authorities.

Fabiola Rubiano, 86, and James Rubiano, 51, were the woman and man found dead, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said Friday afternoon.

The cause of death was still awaiting the results of autopsies that were being conducted Friday by the Ocean County medical examiner.

"At this time, the information available to us indicates that both of the decedents have extensive medical histories," Billhimer said. The identities were released after authorities had confirmation family members had been notified.

The prosecutor's office Major Crime Unit, Lakewood police and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit are investigating.
