Editor's Note: The following news briefs were contributed by Lawrence Township Public Schools.

Fourth-grade teacher Emily Steiner and her class at Lawrence intermediate School recently collected children’s books to donate to HomeFront.

Emma Paxton came up with the plan and the class supported the wonderful idea. They worked together to publicize it by creating posters and announcing it on the school morning show.

As a result of their hard work, they were able to collect about 700 books to donate to HomeFront. The books were delivered to HomeFront on Valentines Day and will be given to families in need.
