Cancer Support Community receives items to help provide clients with “comfort.”

Seabrook Provides Local Non-Profit with Furniture

News from Seabrook Village in Tinton Falls:

In its continuing effort to reach out and assist the local community, Seabrook delivered furniture to the in Eatontown.  The 12 pieces of living room-style furniture, which include four loveseats and eight lounge chairs, will assist the non-profit by providing comfort for its clients.

The furniture was delivered to the center by Lowy’s Moving Service free of charge, as a way to help in this endeavor.

“This donation is a way for our community to help provide the Cancer Support Community furniture that will be used to help add comfort for clients, their family members and friends,” said Art Sparks, Seabrook executive director.  “Our community is one that prides itself on helping the local community whenever it can and however it can and Seabrook appreciates the opportunity to assist our neighbors and friends.”

Cancer Support Community Executive Director Ilene Winters said, “We are so appreciative to Seabrook for the donation of furniture for our Support Group room.  We had a mish mash of uncomfortable furniture before the donation. Now, we have beautiful, matching, comfortable seating for 16! When people are sick and feeling poorly, a comfortable seat in a nice setting can mean all the difference! Thank you Seabrook!”

Seabrook has also donated close to 30 pieces of furniture to other local groups, including Coastal Habitat for Humanity and Family Based Services.

Seabrook will continue its effort to provide furniture to other local non-profits in the future as the opportunity becomes available.
