No one injured from Saturday incident, police report blaze stemmed from mechanical failure.

A car fire destroyed a vehicle in a Long Valley driveway over the weekend, and thanks to a quick reaction no one was hurt.
Police responded to a home on Sierra Drive at 3:18 p.m. Saturday, March 14 for a report of a vehicle fire, Lt. Doug Compton said.
Upon arrival police found a Chevrolet Suburban completely engulfed in flames, Compton said. Washington Township fire companies arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire.

A second vehicle, a Toyota Camry, also sustained damage from the fire but was moved out of the way before the flames could spread, Compton said.
No one was injured as a result of the blaze and no other property was damaged. Preliminary investigation shows the fire is not suspicious and may have been a mechanical problem within the vehicle, Compton said.
