Long Valley Boy Scout Troop 236 visits Annapolis Maryland Navy Academy

On Friday, October 11th Long Valley Boy Scout Troop 236 visited the Annapolis Maryland Navy Academy. They started with a Planetarium tour by an Astronomer from the Royal Navy and then toured the simulators where they piloted a virtual Destroyer ship through obstacles. On Saturday they toured Bancroft Hall where they viewed housing for 4500+ midshipmen, Commandant and Superintendent quarters, athletic center, Chapel and saw the crypt of John Paul Jones. In addition they saw Herndon Monument, and the wooden Tecumseh statue. They ended the trip with a NAVY football game at the Navy Marine Memorial Stadium. They watched the Blue Angels fly over and experienced an exciting (42-40) Navy win.
