MAF Selling 50/50 Tickets to Benefit MRC Fields

The Madison Athletic Foundation is currently selling tickets to its first 50/50 raffle. The foundation will be selling up to 2,000 tickets at $100 per ticket with the winner receiving $100,000 if all of the tickets are sold. If all of the tickets are not sold, the winner will still win 50 percent of the total sale.

The drawing will take place on April 14 at the Madison Recreation Center turf fields off Ridgedale Avenue. All net proceeds from the raffle will benefit the recently completed MRC synthetic turf fields project.

Raffle tickets can be purchased through at  www.madisonathleticfoundation.org via a downloadable order form. Mail-in instructions are on the form. Several Madison merchants are also selling tickets, including , , , , and Main Street Submarines. Members of the MAF and leaders of many local sports booster clubs are also selling tickets. For more information, to purchase tickets or to become a ticket seller, contact Marty Horn at 973-886-1305.

The MAF, founded in 2006, is a fundraising and support organization with a mission to help improve and enhance the recreation/sports experience for all ages of Madison residents. The MAF’s first project was the successful installation of the multi-use synthetic turf field at Madison High School (Ted Monica Stadium at Twombly Field). Recently, the MAF has partnered with the Borough of Madison to raise $3.5 million to help pay for the multi-use synthetic turf field complex at the new Madison Recreation Center by executing a fundraising plan, including but not limited to, community fundraisers, corporate and private donations/sponsorships, user fees and field rentals. The MAF is a 501(c)(3) organization.
