Ice Closes Rt. 287 South In Mahwah

MAHWAH, N.J. — Route 287 southbound in Mahwah is closed due to ice on the roadway, the state Department of Transportation announced.

All southbound lanes below exit 66 are closed. Traffic is being detoured onto Route 17.

Police urge residents to stay off the roadways until the winter storm passes through the area.

The first snowstorm of the season is expected to drop 6 to 12 inches of snow on North Jersey.
