Storm Debris Collection in 5 Neighborhoods Starts Today

Manalapan Township Department of Public Works is working with hired contractors to clean up the storm debris that Hurricane Sandy left behind.

So far, 30,000 cubic yards of debris have been picked up by Public Works and they are not even half way done going through Manalapan.

The streets that are scheduled for branch, brush, and debris collection starting on Tuesday, Dec. 4 are:

  • The Knolls Development
  • Briarheath Development
  • Developments off Pension Road near Globar Terrace
  • Country Oaks Drive and surrounding areas
  • Tallswood Drive and surrounding areas

Please place all tree limbs, branches, brush, and damaged trees at the curb for collection and be sure that it is not in the street or juts out into the street as this can be hazardous to drivers.

The Public Works and contractor trucks may be coming around the neighborhood to collect debris in the early morning hours in order to accomplish as much as possible.
