From Wall schools:
This year the Wall High School Peer Leaders and National Honor Society members collaborated on a school-wide fundraising project, Project Snowflake, for families in need from Wall High School. Students created hand-made snowflakes that were sold for one dollar and once they were purchased, a name was written on the snowflake and they were hung in the front entry of the Wall High School. With all of the fundraised money, gift cards to local stores, such as Shoprite, Kmart, Foodtown, etc. were purchased and distributed to families in need in Wall Township.
The scope of this fundraiser has grown tremendously. This year
alone, Project Snowflake will assist at least 46 Wall Township families during
the holiday season and will continue to help families in need during the 2014
school year. This year Project Snowflake raised $7068.00.
The Project Snowflake fundraiser would not be possible without the help of our school and local community. We would like to thank the Wall High School Peer Leaders, National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Wall Business Finance Academy, the TV Production class, the Student Council, and the Girls Varsity Volleyball team, who volunteered to sell snowflakes during their lunch periods.
The girls also assisted in making videos, held fundraisers, and made contributions towards the purchasing of gift cards. A special thank you to all of the Wall High School students, staff and administration, who purchased snowflakes and supported the event. Many thanks to the parents and community members who purchased gift cards, assisted in purchasing yearbooks for students in need, and made monetary contributions.
We would also like to thank Valente’s
Italian Deli, Musclemaker Grill, and JLC Financial all of Wall Township for
making contributions to assist families in need in their community. As always,
we would like to thank Wall Helps Its People (WHIP) for their constant support
of families in need in the Wall community. We are so grateful for everyone’s
support and generosity!
