Crack Cocaine Seized, Pair Charged With Drug Offenses

A man and woman from South Jersey were found in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, police said

A man and a woman from South Jersey were arrested Friday after Manchester Township police found 28 bags of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia in their car, police said.

Kimberly Ott, 22, of Westville, and Robert Stevens, 39, of Atco, were arrested on drug charges in Manchester and outstanding warrants from Camden City, Manchester Capt. Lisa Parker said, and their 2005 Ford Taurus was seized pending forfeiture.

Sgt. Richard Mazza saw a suspicious car parked on Spruce Drive in the Richard Estates section, and with the assistance of Officer Joseph Fastige and Officer Kyle Rickvalsky investigated. During the investigation, the officers found Ott in possession of hypodermic syringes and drug paraphernalia, and Stevens was found with 28 bags of crack cocaine, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Parker said.

The investigation also revealed the outstanding warrants, Parker said; the nature of the warrants was not available.

Ott was released on a summons on the Manchester drug charges, and released on her own recognizance on the Camden warrant, Parker said.

Stevens’ bail was set at $35,000, Parker said; he has since posted bail, according to Ocean County Jail inmate records.
