Post Office Site Public Meeting Set for Thursday

The Township of Maplewood will be holding a special public meeting, Thursday, to address questions and concerns about the Post Office redevelopment site.

Members of the public are invited to attend at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Maplewood Municipal Building.

The town previously selected L&M Development Partners of Larchmont, N.Y., as the developer for the site and released a rendering of the proposed site.

The  preliminary layout includes street level retail space suitable for Kings Supermarket, currently located across Maplewood Ave., a ground floor level of retail spaces, and 25 apartments above.

On Thursday, the town will introduce the development team that has been selected for the redevelopment of the site. They will present information and will answer questions from the public.

The meeting will be broadcast on Fios Channel 24 and Comcast Channel 35. A phone number will be announced during the meeting to allow television viewers to submit questions.

The township reminded residents that the meeting is solely to share information and answer questions from the public but no official action will be taken.
