A construction worker was killed, and a second worker injured early Wednesday morning on the Garden State Parkway after a Ford Explorer crossed into a coned barrier where a construction work project was taking place.

According to the Asbury Park Press, the Explorer, driven by Marc Senatore, 21, of Nutley, crossed through the coned barrier on the northbound side of the highway by milepost 119 at approximately 1:19 a.m.
