Timothy E. Hussey, Matawan First Aid Squad Life Member, Dies at 89

Timothy E. Hussey, 89, of Matawan passed away with his loving family by his side on January 21, 2014, at home.

Born to the late William and Mary Hussey, Timothy was born and raised in Matawan. He was proud to be a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in World War II.

Timothy was an active member in the St. Clement's Church. He was an usher, a teacher of CCD classes and was very much involved in the church. Timothy was a life member of the Matawan First Aid and a 3rd degree Knight with the Keyport Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the VFW and the American Legion No. 0176 in Matawan. He has been retired from E.I. DuPont, Parlin, since 1986.

Timothy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Timothy is predeceased by his parents, William J. Hussey and Mary (Shaw) Hussey; brother William Jay Hussey and sister Helen Farrell.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 66 years Joan (DeMont) Hussey, son William Hussey and wife Kathleen; five daughters: Marie Pepe and husband Simone, Kathleen Illingworth and husband William, Noreen Reed and husband Robert, Grace Schuster and husband Alan, Francine Danish and husband Flory; brother Paul Hussey and wife Maryann; sister Marylou Goldyck and husband Paul; 16 grandchildren: William Hussey, Shaun Illingworth, Dr. Timothy Danish, Erin Illingworth, Antonio Pepe, Ryan Reed, Kerry Danish, Jacqueline Gallipoli, Dr. Erika Hussey, Veronica Akhtar, Nicholas Danish, Kara Schuster, Evan Reed, Courtney Danish, Matthew Schuster and Victoria Hussey; and three great grandchildren: Olivia Illingworth, Leighton Pepe and Dylan Gallipoli.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation service, located at 501 Highway 79, Morganville NJ.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m on Saturday, Jan. 25 at St. Clement's Church in Matawan. Cremation will be private.
