Mendham Young Adult Leadership Council Honored

Mendham Township Library's teen group recognized for their volunteer service.

They weren't playacting as part of a puppet show, exploding bottles of soda in a mad science experiment or leading a group on an adventure of the mind through book club.

No, at last weeks Mendham Township Committee meeting members of the Mendham Township Library Young Adult Leadership Council was on hand to receive recognition for the work they do on behalf of the library community.

"This group has really raised the bar. The library is being recognized as the place to be," said Mendham Township Library Director Stephanie Cotton said. "They are really highlighting the fun and the education and the inspiration."

While not all were able to attend the ceremony and reception afterwards, all 31 volunteers were honored.
