Body Found In Middletown JCP&L Substation

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A deceased body was found Wednesday morning in a Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) substation in Middletown, said a company spokeswoman.

The substation where the body was found is located at Burdge Drive and Taylor Lane. Middletown police and EMTs were on the scene.

"Sadly, this morning a JCP&L employee discovered a deceased individual at the location of a company substation in Middletown," said JCP&L spokeswoman Jennifer Young. "We are working with Middletown Police, and I unfortunately don’t have any additional information at this time."

The person has not been identified.
