'Shatter' is five times more potent than pot, and can cause explosions once lit.

Middletown, NJ - Police departments across the state are warning about a dangerous new form of marijuana known as “shatter.” It is either smoked or inhaled with a vaporizer.

Shatter, also called “honey,” or “dab” is becoming increasingly popular with teenagers because it’s easy to hide. It does not smell as strong as marijuana, and comes in a paste-like consistency. More than five times more potent that pot, shatter’s main ingredients are traditional marijuana and butane.

Yes, the same chemical solvent that is known to be extremely explosive. In fact, police departments across the country are reporting explosions, fires and injuries after teens lit the drug on fire to smoke it.
