Middletown Police Blotter

Middletown police recently arrested defendants on charges of DWI, drug possession, burglary, theft and shoplifting.

According to a news release from Deputy Chief Stephen Dollinger:

May 31

James Fleming, 22, from Reta Lane in Middletown was arrested by Patrolman Jason Andrews on charges of obstructing the administration of law, resisting arrest, theft and criminal mischief. He was held on $15,000 bail.

May 30

Matthew Callori, 24, from Hilda Court in Red Bank was arrested by Corporal Mark Ward on charges of simple assault, terroristic threats and criminal mischief. He was held on $8,000 bail.

Debra Debenedetto, 43, from Wedgewood Circle in the Belford section of Middletown was arrested by Police Officer Stephanie Geisel on a charge of simple assault. She was released pending a court date.

Gary Spann, 52, from Linden Avenue in Red Bank was arrested by Patrolman Brady Carr on charges of possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court date.

Michael Hartigan, 24, from Oake Shades Avenue in Aberdeen was arrested by Sgt. Donald Coates on a charge of driving while intoxicated. He was released pending a court date.

June 1

Annemarie Dicapua, 21, from Swartzel Drive in Middletown was arrested by Patrolman Jesse Toma on a charge of simple assault. She was released pending a court date.

Robert Lagville, 30, from Locust Grove in Hazlet was arrested by Patrolman Nicholas Fenezia on a charge of theft and on contempt of court warrants issued by the Holmdel and Middletown municipal courts. He was released after posting $450 bail.

June 2

Rafaelle Buzzelli, 53, from Center Avenue in Middletown was arrested by Detective Kelly Godley on charges of theft by deception, credit card theft, using a stolen credit card and improper signing of a credit card. He was held on $40,000 bail.

June 3

Melissa Hopf, 38, from Oak Street in Keansburg was arrested by Detective Daniel Sullivan on charges of shoplifting and conspiracy. She was held on $2,000 bail.

Annemarie Dicapua, 21, from Swartzel Drive in Middletown was arrested by Patrolman Adam Colfer on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of heroin. She was released pending a court date.

June 4

Nicholas Walsh, 18, from Rebecca Drive in Middletown was arrested by Sgt. Patricia Colangelo on charges of possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court date.

June 5

James Fleming, 22, from Harmony Road in Middletown was arrested by Detective William Strohkirch on charges of burglary, theft and receiving stolen property. He was held on $15,000 bail.

June 7

John Muranelli, 45, from Mercury Circle in South Amboy was arrested by Patrolman John Soltysik on a charge of driving while intoxicated. He was released pending a court date.
