2 Car Fires In One Day At Short Hills Mall: Millburn Police

Millburn police reported that two car fires recently took place in the Macy’s parking deck at The Mall at Short Hills.

According to police, the first fire involved a 1997 Infiniti which caught fire from an oil leak.

Mall security personnel managed to independently extinguish the fire, police said.

The second fire involved a 2004 Dodge Durango, which caught fire from an “electrical problem,” police stated.

According to police, a mall security guard extinguished this fire and was treated for a small laceration and smoke inhalation.

The guard refused further treatment, police stated.

The Millburn Fire Department responded and investigated both scenes, police added.
