Irvington Resident Arrested for Allegedly Asking Man for His Daughter
An Irvington man has been charged with harassment for making an inappropriate comment to a father and his 9-year-old daughter on Bloomfield Avenue earlier this month, police said.

Barry Palmer, 46, was arrested Saturday when officers spotted him at Krauszer's on Church Street, according to NJ.com.

Palmer allegedly approached a father who was with his young child in the 500 block of Bloomfield Avenue on May 10 and asked, "can I have your daughter?"

The man fled before officers arrived. However, police were able to identify the man as Palmer, who is known to authorities and to frequent Montclair, based on the witness' description, according to NJ.com.
