Bloomfield student Milena Testa received a Grand Prize in this year's Montclair Film Festival Kidz Shortz Filmmaking Competition for the film "The Playdate," which she co-created with Grace Baynes of Glen Ridge.

"The Playdate" was the top-prize winner in the Cinemaniacs Grades 4-6 Small Group category.

More than 60 films by young filmmakers from across the country were entered into the juried Kidz Shortz competition inspired by this year’s theme, "The Future: The Way I See It."

Winners receive free digital filmmaking classes at the Montclair Art Museum and their works will be shown during the upcoming Montclair Film Festival, April 28-May 4. For more information, visit  www.montclairfilmfest.org
