A 29-year-old man who was hit by a reckless teen driver, changing his life forever, addressed Montclair High School Driver's Ed students Wednesday morning and will speak to the community Wednesday night about moving on from his ordeal and continuing his passion for rock music.
Gabe Hurley, of Middlesex County, will discuss his experiences at the high school in the LGI Room, from 7:30 to 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Hurley was the victim of a car crash four years ago that left him with a disfigured face, blind and with no sense of smell — all because of a teen’s carelessness behind the wheel.
With a positive attitude, the Rutgers graduate and talented musician shares his inspirational story with audiences, and jams out on his guitar during his presentation.
