Attempted Burglars Thwarted by Alarm Early Saturday in Moorestown

The homeowners weren't home at the time of the incident.

Moorestown Police are reminding residents to report suspicious activity after an attempted burglary on Cove Road early Saturday morning.

Officers responded to a burglar alarm on the unit block of Cove Road around 3:30 a.m. The residents weren’t home at the time of the attempted burglary.

Officers discovered a ladder nearby, and believe the perpetrators were attempting to break into the house through a window on the second floor, but fled when they triggered the alarm. Police say the ladder doesn’t belong to the homeowner.
