Cold Outside? Sign Up for Library's Winter Reading Program

Kids who participate in the Moorestown Library's Winter Reading Program have a chance to win prizes—the more they read, the better their chances.

Cold Outside? Sign Up for Library's Winter Reading Program

Winter reading is back at the Moorestown Library.

For the third year in a row, the Moorestown Library will hold its popular Winter Reading Program for children and teens beginning Friday, Feb. 1. All month long, children and teens can read books, tell a children’s librarian about them, and get a raffle ticket for each book they read.

The raffle prizes include gift cards to Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Build-A-Bear and Happy Hippo, so there’s something to entice readers of all ages and interests. The more you read, the better your chances are to win. Children who aren’t yet reading on their own can tell us about books that have been read to them, so even preschoolers can get in on the fun.

While just a few lucky readers will walk away with the grand prizes, we believe everyone deserves a little something for their efforts. So at the end of the month, every participant who has reported on at least three books can choose a small prize from the assortment of goodies in our grab box. All the prizes, large and small, are provided through the generosity of the Friends of the Moorestown Library.

Winter reading only lasts through Feb. 28, so hurry into the Moorestown Library today to be a part of the reading fun.
