Increase in Black Bear Sightings in South Jersey Likely
Black bears are more likely to be seen during mating season, the Courier Post reports.
Black bears are native to the state, and have always lived in southern New Jersey. It is likely they will be seen in the south more often during their mating season, which is June and July, according to the report.
The bear that was seen last month made appearances in Winslow, Waterford, Evesham, Medford, Mount Laurel and Hainesport.
