Moorestown Teen Wins $1 Million from Scratch-Off

A 19-year-old Moorestown High School grad stopped into the Chester Avenue 7-Eleven recently and walked out a millionaire, according to the store manager.

Moorestown Teen Wins $1 Million from Scratch-Off

A 19-year-old from Moorestown had probably the luckiest day of his life recently after a scratch-off lottery ticket at 7-Eleven yielded a $1 million prize.

Brian Ulvii, manager at the Chester Avenue 7-Eleven, said the young man, a recent Moorestown High School graduate, came into the store around 11 p.m. a week or two ago with a couple friends and bought a single scratch-off.

When the ticket failed to produce, his friends urged him to buy a second, Ulvii said. Thankfully, he followed their advice.

The second scratch-off turned out to be a winner. Needless, to say, the young man and his friends were elated.

"They were dancing in the store," said Ulvii, describing the scene. "So God bless him, y'know."

Ulvii, who didn't know the lucky young man's name, said he comes into the store from time to time to buy a drink or some food, but is not an avid purchaser of lottery tickets.

According to Ulvii, it took a week or two for lottery officials to validate the ticket, but the teen finally got his winnings late last week.
