Burglars broke into three Delran homes Thursday, including one in which the resident was home when two men forced open the door in the middle of the day, police said.
According to Delran Police, a resident of the Millside Heights neighborhood, on the unit block of Suburban Boulevard, heard a knock at the door around 1:15 p.m. but didn’t answer. Two men then forced open the door using a prying tool and entered into the foyer. When they realized the resident was home, they fled, police said.
The suspects are described as two men wearing dark hooded jackets and winter hats.

A third burglary occurred between 6 and 9 p.m. on the unit block of Frech Avenue. Police said there were no signs of forced entry, but the homeowner reported jewelry was stolen.
