Police arrested three young men—Ahmed Akrout, 22, of Sheffield Drive, Moorestown; Karim Akrout, 25, of Sheffield Drive, Moorestown; and Joseph Ferroni, 26, of Sherwood Drive, Cinnaminson—after responding to a call about unwanted individuals inside a home on Sheffield Drive, according to a report. By the time police arrived, the unwanted subjects were gone, but the three men mentioned above were found in the home in possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and drug paraphernalia, police said. They were each charged accordingly and released on summonses.
Gurpreeta Sawhney, 37, of Monroe Drive, Maple Shade, arrested for shoplifting for concealing $796.94 worth of jewelry and clothing from Macy’s, according to police. Sawhney was released on a summons.
Anthony Galiazzi, 30, of North Church Street, Moorestown, arrested after police said he resisted arrest during a motor vehicle stop at Church Street and Farmdale Road by refusing to get out of his car when it was determined he was wanted on a warrant out of Merchantville. Galiazzi was charged with resisting arrest and released on a summons.
Lawrence McKenzie, 31, of Carpenter Street, Philadelphia, arrested after police said he concealed three pairs of women’s shoes from Marshalls—total value $239.97—in a foil-lined shopping bag and then obstructed officers from performing their duty, according to a report. McKenzie was charged with shoplifting, possession of an anti-shoplifting device and obstruction.
Ashley Antoniak, 29, of Woodbine Avenue, Maple Shade, arrested for shoplifting a handbag and a pair of sweatpants—total value $89.50—from Boscov’s, police said. Antoniak was also allegedly found with clothing stolen from The Children’s Place, valued at $214.35. She was charged with shoplifting and receiving stolen property and released on summonses.
