'Homeland' Star Mandy Patinkin to Visit Local Hotel

The stage and screen legend will headline a Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ benefit.

'Homeland' Star Mandy Patinkin to Visit Local Hotel

Tony and Emmy Award-winning actor Mandy Patinkin, star of Showtime’s "Homeland," Broadway's "Sunday in the Park with George" and "Evita," and the film "The Princess Bride" will be the special guest at Live from Greater MetroWest Thursday, March 7, at the Hilton Parsippany.

The evening will begin at 6:45 p.m. with a cocktail hour and light dinner followed by dessert and the program. Michelle Cohen and Steve Samansky of Short Hills and Cathy and Steven Tabak of Westfield are event chairs. 

Patinkin has a long and illustrious career as an actor in theater, film, and television, and as a singer and recording artist. He won a 1995 Emmy Award for his performance in the CBS series "Chicago Hope." He currently stars in the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning Showtime television series "Homeland" as CIA Division Chief Saul Berenson.

Live from Greater MetroWest benefits Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ. The federation cares for people in need locally, in Israel and around the world. Among the many programs the charity supports are: job training and placement services for the unemployed; crisis counseling for families; supportive services for seniors; Jewish identity building initiatives; programs/services for people with special needs and their families; Israel education and advocacy; leadership development and Birthright Israel.

Admission to the event is a minimum gift of $750 (by individual or couple) to the 2013 UJA Campaign. For first-timers or those aged 45 or under, there is a special minimum gift of $360. There is also a couvert of $75 per person.
