Fire Shuts Down Lincoln Tunnel Lanes To New Jersey: Authorities
Officials said they stopped traffic heading to New Jersey at the Lincoln Tunnel Monday afternoon because of a car fire.

UPDATE: At 1:50 p.m., the roadway was cleared and all lanes re-opened.
Officials said they stopped traffic heading to New Jersey at the Lincoln Tunnel Monday afternoon because of a car fire.
The car caught fire on the Route 495 westbound lanes, near Pleasant Avenue and the tunnel, at about 12:45 p.m., according to the Port Authority.
