District 83 gears for Spring Conference
District 83, Toastmasters International prepares for the upcoming Spring Conference in the city of New Brunswick.

District 83, Toastmasters International is gearing up for the upcoming spring conference in the city of New Brunswick. Hyatt Regency on Albany street will witness talented speakers and leaders under one roof on May 21 and 22. The conference will be a full day on May 21 hosting a variety of events ranging from Business meetings to Educational workshops. There will be District finale speech competitions for International speech and Evaluation contests on May 22. Winners from all the divisions will compete with one another and the finalist will be representing at the International Convention to be held in August in Washington DC. The spring conference will also have elections for the new leaders for the year 2016-17.
Lynda Starr and Olga Berejnaia are serving as Conference Co chairs for this year. "We settled on 'Step up to success', to connote climbing the ladder of success, reaching for the top and Step by Step" they said. "People often think of Success as a destination, but it is really a step-by-step process", they added.
Accredited speaker, Johnny Campbell, will serve as Keynote speaker for the conference. "I want to connect with people who are interested in learning and being trained on methods that will help them achieve more Personal Success, Prosperity and Happiness in their life", says Johnny who believes that clarity, resiliency and certainty are essential to be a powerful speaker.

Steve Chen, Region 9 International Director, will lead an educational panel covering all the information necessary for both the individual toastmasters and the clubs. "I look forward in renewing friendships with fellow toastmasters and discuss their progress" says Steve who has been a toastmaster for 15 years.
District Director, Bill Hood, says, "My motto is contagious inspiration. I want every toastmaster to get inspired".
