Anyone wishing to hear about the initiatives of the New Brunswick Community Food Alliance and the movement to bring local, sustainable food to the city is invited to attend a public forum from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at New Brunswick Middle School, 1125 Livingston Ave.
The New Brunswick Community Food Alliance is a group of community members and representatives from agencies in the city, working to further the accessibility of sustainable and healthy food in New Brunswick.
According to the alliance, free breakfast and lunch will be offered to forum participants, as well as free childcare and a free shuttle service to get to the school.
The forum's keynote speaker will be Nic Esposito, a Philadelphia-based urban farming activist, according to the alliance.
