A New Brunswick man was shot was killed Monday night on Hale Street, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.
According to a press release from the Prosecutor's Office, Joshua Negron, 24, was found around 11:15 p.m. Monday with multiple gunshot wounds after officers responded to the sound of gunfire near the corner of Hale Street and Remsen Avenue.
According to the release, Negron appears to have been targeted by a shooter as he was among a group of people at the site.
He was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:02 a.m. Tuesday.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
