5 More BYOBs in Bergen County

Patch readers submitted their favorites recently to a neighboring site

5 More BYOBs in Bergen County

One thing is clear. Patch readers are huge fans of BYOB’s and the response to a recent “5 BYOB’s” on a nearby site was so overwhelming that part two was not simply necessary--it was expected.

1.  Fontana di Trevi

Originally located across from Carnegie Hall in NYC, Fontana was the restaurant that inspired Billy Joel to write Italian Restaurant. Now located on Fort Lee Road in Leonia, bring a bottle of white, a bottle of red, perhaps a bottle of rose instead because it's BYOB. Beautiful ambience, freshly prepared Italian specialties, this is a very popular neighborhood place. Just the type of neighborhood place where Brenda and Eddie were the popular steadies and the king and the queen of the prom.

Fontana di Trevi, 248-252 Fort Lee Rd., Leonia; 201-242-9042

2.  Lisa’s Turkish Kitchen

BYOB with Belly Dancers? Hey now! Lisa's offers an amazing selection of freshly prepared Turkish dishes using authentic spices. The owner, Lisa, is a member of the family that owns Ali Baba in NYC.

Lisa’s Turkish Kitchen, 54 Chestnut St., Ridgewood; 201-251-8686

3. Tutto A Modo Mio

If you’re looking for a small, cozy BYOB that dishes up authentic Venetian food, look no further. Bring a bottle and your appetite.

Tutto A Modo Mio, 482 Bergen Blvd., Ridgefield; 201-313-9690

4. Seafood Gourmet

This is strictly a word-of-mouth type of place. Everything is cooked to order at this little hole in the wall and readers who have been here have said that it’s the best seafood in Bergen County. Why not find out for yourself?

Seafood Gourmet, 103 West Pleasant Ave., Maywood; 201-843-8558

5.  Cafe L’Amore

This BYOB has an extremely loyal clientele that keeps coming back, and we are told, so will you once you dine here. Family-owned, this BYOB offers an extensive menu of freshly prepared Italian food in addition to a variety of daily specials to choose from.

Cafe L’Amore, 455 Ramapo Valley Rd., Oakland; 201-337-5558
