Counterfeit Money Being Used on Ocean City Boardwalk: Police
Three incidents reportedly took place between June 22 and July 14.

Ocean City, NJ -- There were three three reports of counterfeit money being passed to merchants on the Boardwalk between June 22 and July 14, Ocean City Police said on Thursday.
One incident involved a $10 bill, but most of the incidents involved $20 bills, and most of the money is being discovered by local banks after the businesses have made their daily deposits.
Four counterfeit $20 bills from the overnight deposits were discovered by the bank on Thursday, police said.

The bank believes the money came from boardwalk businesses.
The first incident occurred on the 900 block of the boardwalk.

Any merchant that suspects they have received counterfeit money should report the incident immediately to the police department.
