Wind gusts up to 60 mph are possible Wednesday as a cold front moves into the region.
The National Weather Service issued a High Wind Warning in effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday through 4 a.m. Thursday.
The wind will likely be accompanied by rain on Wednesday night. Wednesday's high temperature is expected to be 59 degrees, but by Friday the high will reach only 37 degrees.
The weather advisory warns of some potential for downed power lines and tree limbs and moderate beach erosion. Sustained winds out of the south will reach 25 to 35 mph on Wednesday evening, according to the forecast.
The winds are expected to turn offshore on Thursday morning and clean up the choppy south swell, making for good surfing conditions.
