Man Drowns In Cape May Court House Pool

Authorities tried to revive the man before he was pronounced dead at the scene.

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NJ — A Cape May Court House man drowned Wednesday in a pool at a Stagecoach Road home. Middle Township police identified the victim as Harry R. Velli.

Middle Township police received a call at 9:18 p.m. Wednesday about an unresponsive man in a pool. Authorities tried reviving the 60-year-old but weren't successful.

Velli was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
