Ocean City Man Dies In Plane Crash: Authorities

The 22-year-old Ocean City resident was piloting a plane that crashed in Cape May County, according to police.

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 22-year-old from Ocean City died Saturday in connection with a plane crash in Cape May County, according to police.

Thomas Gibson was piloting a Piper PA-12 that crashed about 9:30 a.m. at the Paramount Airfield in the 300 block of Route 47 South in the Green Creek section of Middle Township, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Middle Township police.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
