A late score by the Ocean City FC Nor'easters men's soccer team helped it open the season with a tie with the Long Island Rough Riders.

The Nor'easters tied the Rough Riders, 2-2, in their Premier Developmental League season opener on Sunday, The Press of Atlantic City reports.

Ben Maury tied the game with a goal in the 89th minute, according to the report.

Glen Reid opened the scoring for Long Island to give the Rough Riders a 1-0 halftime lead, according to the report.

Aaron Dennis tied the game for Ocean City in the second half, but Jack McVey gave the Rough Riders a 2-1 lead with a goal on a direct kick, according to the report.

The tie follows a 2-0 loss to New York Greek American Atlas in the second round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup last week.
