A number of people were temporally trapped inside stores at the Kinderkamack Road strip mall in River Edge after the facade collapsed off the building, police said.

One woman said she was leaving one of the stores when the facade collapsed, according to The Record. She was trapped in the store, then rescued.

The cause of the collapse is still unknown, according to the report. An employee at Hair We Are said the salon was calling customers to cancel appointments.
