Traffic Jammed On Routes 80 And 287 Thursday Afternoon

BREAKING: Add extra time to your drive.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A car fire is causing traffic problems on Route 287, and an earlier incident is backing up Route 80 Thursday afternoon.

The car fire, which began around 2:30 p.m., is slowing the southbound lanes of Route 287 in Parsippany, near Exit 40.

There are delays of around 10 minutes, and the left lane is closed.

An earlier incident is causing delays on Route 80 westbound as of 3 p.m. Drivers can except delays of 10 minutes on Route 80 west between Exit 47A and Exit 43 in Parsippany.
