James John Lazarchick Of Point Pleasant Dies At 78
Services for NASCAR lover will be held on Thursday and Friday.

James John Lazarchick of Point Pleasant, passed away on Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at Brandywine Reflections, Brick, NJ. He was 78.
Born in Pottsville, PA, James resided in Point Pleasant for 47 years. He was the president and owner of Accu Con Electric, Point Pleasant. James served in the United States Army during the mid to late 1950s. After serving, he married Mary Ann Kurak and during their lifetime together James was a Boy Scout Troop Master, in Brick and a youth group leader at St. Martha's Catholic Church in Point Pleasant.

James had a love for bowling and NASCAR. He was an avid bowler in the 1970s and early 1980s, a tradition he passed down to his children and grandchildren who he watched bowl many times. He was the owner of Accu Connor Racing that raced the modified division in the 199's. He was a sponsor of the 1994 Race of Champions winner Shannon Connor at Flemington Speedway. He loved and lived for the competition at the track. He is an honorary member of the Jersey Shore Raiders Booster Club.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years, Mary Ann in 2012; his brother, Andy Lazarchick and his sister, Jeanette Clement.

He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Lazarchick, Point Pleasant, his son, Gregory Lazarchick and wife, Jodi Lazarchick, Brick and his grandsons Andrew and Eric Lazarchick. He is also survived by his sister, Josephine Lazarchick.
A viewing will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept.15, 2016 at O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick, NJ 08724. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016 at Holy Innocents Church, 3455 W. Bangs Ave., Neptune. The committal will be private.
