Route 88 Bridge Will Be Closed For Repairs For Five Nights
Work will be done between 10 p.m. and 5 p.m. for five nights, Point Pleasant police say.

The Route 88 bridge will be closed from 10 p.m. and 5 p.m. beginning tonight, so contractors can maintain the steel that lines the banks of the Point Pleasant Canal, Capt. Robert Lokerson said.
The state requires that the work be done at night, for at least five nights, weather permitting, he said.
“The work is subject to weather and tides, so there is no set schedule at this point,” Lokerson said.
