Princeton Resident Suffers Life-Threatening Injury After Car Strikes Curb, Pole: PD

Authorities believe the crash took place after the driver suffered a "medical event."

PRINCETON, NJ – A 73-year-old Princeton man sustained life-threatening injuries after a car crash on Saturday afternoon, West Windsor Police said.

At 2:27 p.m. on Saturday, authorities received a report of a serious crash on Roszel Road.

On arrival, they found the 73-year-old with head injuries. The West Windsor EMS took the driver to Capital Health Regional Medical Center. The injuries were considered life-threatening in nature, authorities said.

According to investigation, the Princeton resident was driving a Volkswagen Jetta and traveling southbound on Roszel Road, when it entered the northbound lanes and continued in a southeasterly direction when it struck a curb.

The vehicle continued off the road, struck a utility pole, and came to a halt, police said.
