The Red Bank Regional Education Foundation has created a relief fund to provide technology to students in need after superstorm Sandy.
The fund has established $10,000 to be used to provide loaner items such as laptops and calculators to students identified with the most urgent need. Laptops already have been purchased for some students.
“We were delighted to be able to move quickly to provide this important program for our students in this very difficult time. This is what the Foundation is all about, to directly aid the education of Red Bank Regional’s students," said foundation president Paul Noglows.
RBR principal Risa Clay said the technology will remain with students until they graduate. If they are still viable, the laptops will be recycled for use by other RBR students in need of technology.
