will be setting up shop in Ridgewood's downtown, Carlo's City Hall Bake Shop confirmed to Patch.

According to Valastro, the Hoboken tourist attraction will be opening another bakery at 12 Wilsey Square in Ridgewood, known as "The Playhouse Theater" building. Buddy and his "Cake Boss" crew are eyeing a late November opening for the 3,300 square foot bakery.

"I'm from Little Ferry, NJ, so I'm familiar with the Ridgewood area," Valastro told Patch. "A lot of people in the Upper Bergen County area are intimidated by the line on Washington St. and after looking at a few spots we chose Ridgewood as our second Carlo's Bakery location."

in the same location before closing in 2011.

Valastro, however, is among  New Jersey's most recognizable personalities and should be able to inject real excitement to the downtown.

"It's a surreal experience," he said of opening another location, in Ridgewood. "I made my dad a promise to make this bakery a household name and I think he would be so proud right now."

A fourth-generation baker, Valastro has endeared himself to audiences as the master cake baker of Carlo's on the . The show follows around Valastro and the entertaining staff of the 100-plus year family-owned bakery as they conjure up incredible and intricate cakes for customers.

Don't be surprised if you see Buddy and the crew in Ridgewood. Filming for the sixth season of "Cake Boss" is expected to begin again in 2013.

"I, myself plan on being there occasionally as will Marissa Lopez, the winner of last season's Next Great Baker," Valastro said. "Additionally, my sisters and brothers-in-law will be coming in from time to time."

During the holiday season, customers can drop by and order freshly-made cookies, cakes and pastries. The prices found at the Hoboken location – moderate for most items – will hold true in Ridgewood. Seating options will be available both indoors and outdoors.

There will also be a unique offering at the Ridgewood location – a "cake bar." Want a vanilla, chocolate or red velvet cake? Sure, your choice. You can add from a list of frostings, chocolates, fruits and nuts to complete your semi-customized cake.

"We expect to do very well in Ridgewood," Valastro said. "We have some really cool offerings at this new location, like a custom cake bar and a party room for kids to have birthday parties. We're excited about the opportunities."

The location in Ridgewood will closely resemble the landmark bakery adjacent to Hoboken City Hall on Washington Street, though the lines are expected to be significantly shorter in the village.

Asked if Carlo's will be opening more locations in the near future, Valastro replied simply, "Only time will tell."
