Police: Ridgewood Home Forced Open, Burglarized

Police arrived to the home on Banta Street Monday after the home's alarm was activated and found the rear door had been forced open.

Another Ridgewood home was allegedly burglarized Monday.

Ridgewood police responded to a home on Banta Street at 9:41 a.m on Dec. 15 after the home’s alarm was activated and “found the rear door had been forced open and the house had been burglarized,” according to a press release from the Ridgewood Police Department.

Hohokus Police and the Bergen County Sheriff’s department K-9 unit assisted with a search of the area.

Numerous homes in Ridgewood and Glen Rock have been burglarized recently, so much so that the Glen Rock PD issued an alert to all residents.

The matter is under investigation by the Ridgewood Detective Bureau and the Bergen County Sheriff Department BCI. It has not been confirmed whether or not the alleged burglaries are connected.
